Michelle Byrd is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado and is in the process to become an LPC. Michelle received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University. She also obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Community, Family and Addiction Services with a concentration in Addictive Disorders and Recovery. Michelle’s goal is to obtain her LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor) while working with the Continuum Recovery team. Michelle has worked in the human services industry for over four years. She has worked with acute mental illness as an in-home therapist, community case manager and inpatient therapist. Michelle has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families in various settings including community mental health, a residential domestic violence shelter, in-school childhood intervention and an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Michelle’s passion is with dual diagnosis patients struggling from both addiction and mental illnesses. She strives to make a lasting impact and provide a healing environment for those in their recovery journey. Michelle moved to Colorado from Texas to enjoy the scenic Rocky Mountains. She enjoys spending most of her time in nature or with her fur babies, Samson and Charlie.
